MILITARY VETERANS Within the QLD Chapter of the Vietnam Veterans MC a group of young veterans has been established under the banner of Military Veterans. We are not a stand alone motorcycle club nor are we support riders; we are a group made up of men who have served this nation overseas in the armed forces since the end of the Vietnam War. The Military Veterans ride with the VVMC who as bikers & veterans came before us, we have adopted the principles, code of ethics, & traditions they set down then and continue to live by. Currently Military Veterans has members covering all 4 of the operational theatres of the last decade, from East Timor and the Solomon Islands to Iraq and Afghanistan. We are a brotherhood bound together not only by mutual military experiences but also by the biker lifestyle. Regardless of the corps or branch of the ADF that you served with, the Military Veterans is open to all Returned Servicemen who are looking to become a part of a dedicated group of bike riders. To become a member of the Qld Chapter requires two basic things. You must be a bike rider and a Returned Servicemen. Proof of service on operations and ownership of a bike must be produced when applying for membership. All members must own and ride an approved motorcycle, set down by the committee. However being a returned serviceman does not automatically lead to becoming a military veteran in the QLD chapter of the Vietnam Veterans MC, a prospective period must be met during which time the "prospect" will be required to show commitment to and demonstrate the ability to fit in with the Vietnam Veterans MC and the Military Veterans. We give 110% to the Vietnam Veterans MC and to each other. Your position/rank in the military hold no weight in the club, we only want good men dedicated to our way of life. The property is located at 132 Meakin Road, Kingston and is situated in the cul-de-sac end off Queens Road. We are the last property on the right nestled behind some lovely industrial units. Not having suburbia surrounding us is a plus - for us and the neighbours. We can crank up the stereo as loud as we like without fear of complaint. We will be involved with regular days such as Anzac Day and Vietnam Veterans Day here as well as some more biker orientated shows namely the Bike Trike and Hotrod Show in March and Tattoo Show in October each year. We look forward to seeing you here. Military Veterans Send Off Party - Another Tour - February 2012 - Click
